So you want to join a study? Excellent. Your participation makes new medications possible, and these can lead to new treatments that will benefit countless others.
How to Join a Clinical Study
To join a clinical study, simply complete the online application. You may also review our current clinical studies and indicate the studies in which you are interested.
If you do not see a study that interests you, please complete the application anyway, so we can have your information in case a new study is conducted that may be appropriate for you.
Prescreening
Once you’ve applied to participate in one of our clinical studies, you’ll go through an easy and informative prescreening process where you can learn more about the study and specific guidelines. Prescreening starts by obtaining information over the phone and, in most cases, there will be an office visit as well.
During this appointment, we may perform preliminary tests – such as blood pressure, lung function or skin tests—that are needed to help determine if you are a likely candidate. We’ll also gather information about your medical history.
Our regular office hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. To accommodate patient schedules, we have extended evening and weekend hours for some studies.
