COPD STUDY

 


An investigational study to test a new Ipratropium Bromide (Atrovent).  

  • Ages 40 and Up
  • Diagnosed with COPD
  • Current or Former Smoker
  • Oxygen < 12 hours per day

Study involves a 4 -5 visits over 25 – 55 days.   Three (3) visits require a 7 hour stay at our site. 

Compensation for a qualified subject is up to $850. 

Immediate Need for Healthy Subjects with Mild Asthma 


An investigational study to test the safety of a commonly prescribed oral medication that is being evaluated in an inhaled form.  You will receive either 2 doses of the study medication or 2 doses of Placebo.  

  • Ages 18 – 55 years old 
  • Healthy by medical history and physical exam
  • Using one or more of the following asthma medications:
    • Albuterol Rescue Inhaler (Ventolin, Proventil, ProAir)
    • Singulair (Montelukast)
    • Inhaled Steroid at a low dose (Flovent, QVAR, Pulmicort, Asmanex, or Arnuity)
  • NOT using any other daily medications (birth control & hormone replacement are allowed)
  • Healthy height to weight ratio (BMI 18-35)
  • Non-smokers

Study involves a 5-day and 5-night stay at the research site (24/7).  Private room with WIFI plus meals provided.

Drug, tobacco, and alcohol testing conducted.

Compensation for a qualified subject is up to $2500.

NCCR has multiple studies requiring the use of prednisone for an asthma worsening over the last 12 to 18 months

  • Everyone receives active study medication
  • Non-smokers
  • Willing to complete 15 visits over 15 months
  • Study related care and study medication at no cost
  • Compensation for qualified participants is up to $1710

  • Currently using a daily maintenance inhaler
  • Everyone receives active study medication
  • Non-smokers
  • Willing to complete 15 visits over 28 – 52 weeks
  • Study related care and study  medication at no cost
  • Compensation for qualified participants is $1500-$2300

  • Ages 18 – 75 years old
  • Non-smokers
  • Study medication is an “Add On” inhaler
  • Participants will remain on their current maintenance inhaled steroid treatment
  • Willing to complete 11 visits over 30 weeks
  •  Study related care and study medication at no cost
  • Compensation for qualified participants is up to $1760

Celiac Disease – Part B

Participate in Part A or B, but not both


An Investigational medication designed to re-educate the immune system of celiac patients so it no longer reacts to gluten.

  • Ages 18 – 70 years old
  • Biopsy Confirmed Celiac Disease
  • On gluten-free diet for at least the last 12 month
  • Willing to complete 6 visits over 56 days and a gluten challenge
  • Study related care and study medication at no cost
